Visit To Old Age Home

 Interact club of Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, took up a community Welfare Project to engrain the desired and cherished values of kindness, compassion, caring, sharing and philanthropy among the children. The Principal (Jr. School), Mrs. Manbeen Kaur, Interact club members & their teachers in-charge, Mrs. Madhu Varma, Mrs. Shilpi Ahuja & Mrs. Anju Bhardwaj visited Sai Vridh Ashram, Nihal Vihar, Nangloi New Delhi-110041, where deserted, destitute, sick and forsaken, 65-70 old people are living in the old age home. Some of them are totally bedridden. They live in poor conditions because of lack of finances, resources and small place. The Interact club members gave them Diwali gifts, utility items, bed sheets, towels, toiletries, socks, rations and eatables and spent time with them. The young children were sensitized to the needs of the old people who are homeless & abandoned by their families. They understood the importance of care of senior citizens who are the pillars of our society. Rtn Dr. (Mrs.) Tejinder Singh, past president of Rotary club of Delhi Safdarjung & Mrs. Astinder Kaur also accompanied the children to the old age home.
