Inter School Poetry Recitation at GTB 3rd Centenary
Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi, hosted the Eighteenth Annual S. Mahan Singh Memorial Inter School English Poetry Recitation Competition for Pre Primary on 4th December, 2019, in loving memory of the Founder Chairman, S. Mahan Singh Ji. Twenty five prestigious public schools of West Delhi participated in the event. The confident tiny tots, in colorful and enchanting attire, gave vent to their talent and creativity. Mrs. Satbir Chadha, a celebrated writer and recipient of national and international awards, was the judge in the 5+ Category and Mrs. Vinita Narula Retd., Vice Principal of Lady Irwin College, judged the 4+ Category. The participants recited poems based on the theme of ‘Fairy Land’, ‘Say No to Plastic’, ‘My Parents, My World’, or ‘India – My Vision’. The students of Std. VI to VIII presented a captivating dance on the importance of trees, ‘Na Kaato Mujhe Dukhta Hai’, in glittering green attire, representing trees. Gurrehat Kaur of Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, won the Ist Prize in the 5+ Category. In the 4+ Category, Akul of Sumermal Jain, Janakpuri, bagged the Ist prize. ‘The Rolling Trophy’ for the Best Team was bagged by Springdales School, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi.
