Human Rights Day-10th December
Human Rights Day was celebrated on 10th December in Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi. Mai Bhago House organised a talk show in the form of an interview during the morning assembly. The participants were Ishpreet Kaur and Bhumika Dhawan of XI-D. They enlightened the students about the significance of the day and the need to protect human rights of the people. Shireen Singh, Kajal, Diljot Singh, Tishpreet Kaur, Abhinav and Gurkirat Singh of Std. XI-A, while holding attractive placards, threw light on few important rights. Mention was made of Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yusufzai, Nobel Laureates, for their staunch support to human rights of children and women. Harshvardhan Singh of Std. IX recited a poem, ‘Human Rights’, conveying the need for human rights to protect the people from abuse and to follow the principle of ‘Live and Let Live’. Besides this, various activities such as Poster Making and making of Human Rights Emblem were conducted for Std. VI to X, which drew an enthusiastic response.
