Khadi Wearing Day was organized in Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi. Various activities were conducted on this occasion. A ‘Khadi Pageant’ was held with the theme ‘Khadi for Nation, Khadi for Fashion’, in which the students of Std. XI participated enthusiastically. They flaunted their ethnic and elegant Khadi outfits – sarees, suits, jackets, kurta pajamas, etc. – with grace and style. Their performances drew loud cheers from the spectators and delighted them. In the other activity, ‘Back to Nature with Khadi,’ students designed and decorated khadi and jute bags creatively to promote them as a substitute to plastic bags.
