Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing, caring and peace. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, students of Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, New Delhi, celebrated the festival with enthusiasm and great fervour on Dec 24, 2019. The school was beautifully decorated and the participants were dressed in red and white dresses. The school choir sang melodious carols and filled the atmosphere with positive vibrations. Japjot Singh of Std. VIII C and Arpit Kaur of Std. VIII B told the students about the story of birth of Lord Jesus Christ and the legend Santa Claus. A skit was enacted by the children of Std. VI to VIII, which highlighted the true meaning of Christmas and the ornaments that are hung on the tree like the shining star the red and white candies. The students also learnt about the teachings of Lord Jesus and his life. The smiles on the faces of the Children when Santa moved around distributing sweets was something that couldn’t be missed by anyone. Tiny tots performed enthralling dances which added to the festive ornaments. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children. It was indeed true that the warmth of Christmas was felt from the heart and the actions just proved it right.
